Birthright of Humble is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization.
That means that we are completely staffed by volunteers and their efforts,
and donations. If you have time, skills, items, or money that you would like
to donate to our efforts to save both women and children from the physi-
cal, emotional, and spiritual dangers of abortion, please contact our office

Abortion hurts women, as well as their children. Birthright
volunteers are on the front lines here in the Humble area, making a
practical, loving effort to help women choose life over abortion. We
provide our clients with the wealth of community resources available
to help them, at a stressful time that often seems to leave them with
no choice except abortion.
Mostly, we listen to the young women who come to us, give them free
pregnancy tests, and try to help them in whatever ways we can. As
St. Paul exhorted his followers, we strive to be all things to all our
clients, so that they might come to know God's love through us. We
strive to never judge, but rather to always love unconditionally each
one of our Birthright clients.

Baby Items in General:
Birthright Counselor / Mentor
Provides one-on-one crisis intervention and on-going counseling. Makes
referrals and follow-up contacts with clients. Maintains accurate and
confidential files. Also handles incoming client and business calls.
Schedules appointments, greets clients; also does telephone counseling,
and provides on-going friendship to our clients. A BR counselor attends
in-service training monthly. Usually a four-hour weekly commitment.
Training is required and provided.

If you don't feel you can counsel, you could join a counselor on her shift,
and, by doing tests, and just generally helping her, free the counselor to
spend more time with our clients.
Clothing Ministry
Collects, mends, cleans, irons, and sorts baby and maternity clothing.
Variable time commitment.
Seamstress
Makes or adapts specially needed baby and maternity clothing, plus mends
donated items.
Baby-sitter
Provides free childcare for the children of volunteers when the volunteers
are working at Birthright or attending monthly meetings.
